How I Work

With therapy work there is content (the stories we tell) and process (being together in our space and exploring safely) and our relationship (building trust and gaining confidence). I like to be mindful of all of these, so that you feel heard and also make progress at a pace that suits you.

Here are the key things about me and how I work:

FLEXIBILITY

Flexible timings – we can work early mornings, late evenings, or weekends.

Flexible plans – you can have sessions every other week, or monthly, to suit diaries and budgets.

Flexible payment – invoices are emailed after month end, so there is nothing to pay up front.

Flexible location – in person in Dereham (Norfolk, UK), online, or a sunny day walk in a safe place.

ONLINE

Online is brilliant, because it is time effective, diary friendly and location friendly.

If you think online work isn’t proper therapy then please think again – our tears, or laughter, are just as real online as they are in person.

We can use WhatsApp video, or Zoom, for sessions. I have a Zoom licence and will send invites to you in advance. Either option is simple and effective.

All you need to do is be in a safe, quiet, confidential space.

SPECIALITIES

I work with individuals, or couples, as long as people are over18 years of age. If you asked me what I tend to focus on, in terms of starting presentation I would say the following areas. I have direct experience of them, they interest me and it’s good to focus. Here is the list:

  • ADHD
  • Anticipatory Grief
  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement
  • Depression
  • Divorce
  • Suicidal Ideation

QUALIFICATIONS

I have a Level 6 Certificate in Integrative Transactional Analysis Counselling. This is a Degree-level qualification.

In addition I have 20+ years of using Transactional Analysis in organisational and educational settings and have over 2,000+ hours of formal training and supervised application.
